LT Earth Excavation Services

LT Earth Services Ltd has been providing full service excavation to government and private companies since 2002.

We are focused on providing professional, high quality service for a fair price. We have a reputation for finding solutions for our clients that often translate into cost savings. This has resulted in excellent long-term client retention and repeat business. Our objective is to deliver quality work and develop long-term relationships.

Quality and customer service are the cornerstones on which we have grown our business. We have a full fleet of well maintained excavation equipment and trucks. We have learned that it pays to invest in our equipment and in our staff. We wouldn’t have been able to grow our business without our skilled operators and drivers, many of whom have been with us for years.

We value our employees, and with 25 full time staff, we know them all personally.  Our staff like working with us!

Our Company

Our business is fully licensed and insured. We have a comprehensive safety program and hold a certificate of recognition (COR) from the Government of Alberta. We are members in good standing of the:

  • Calgary Construction Association;
  • the Canadian Construction Association;
  • BILD Calgary;
  • Alberta Onsite Wastewater Management Association;
  • Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships.

Our company is fully certified by Alberta Municipal Affairs for the installation, design and maintenance of private onsite wastewater management systems.  We are also qualified and approved by local municipalities to install quick trench water and sewer services.

  • Neil Laroque - Lt Earth

    Neil Larocque

    President

    Neil excels in bringing people together to achieve a common goal.

    Neil began his heavy equipment operation career, in Government of Canada projects, calling for precision operation to excavate unexploded ordinance from military training facilities and decommissioned cold war military bases.

    Neil has often been called in by other contractors for difficult excavation work or to remedy work conducted by others. Neil has personally excavated hundreds of foundations, has built his own homes, and understands the construction and survey process intimately from start to completion. In his spare time Neil enjoys golf and fly fishing.

  • Erik Bodvarson - Lt Earth

    Erik Bodvarson

    General Manager Field Operations

    Erik has over 15 years of practical experience in residential and commercial excavation work and he comes from a family who have a lifetime of experience in this industry.

    Erik has meticulous attention to detail in all of his work, and he is committed to developing and maintaining excellence in the field.

    Erik manages our operational crews and matches resources to client project requirements. In his spare time Erik enjoys playing golf and hockey.

  • Mhairi-Ellen Larocque - Lt Earth

    Mhairi-Ellen Larocque B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc.,

    CEO

    Mhairi-Ellen has a strong academic background in both science and business, with more than 20 years of practical experience in industry and government. This is a unique skillset for a company of our size.

    Mhairi-Ellen has held positions with various technology companies including Quality Control with IBM in Europe. In her time with the Government of Canada she managed multi million-dollar projects/accounts for a cross section of Canadian businesses. In addition to her technical expertise in earth sciences, geology, hydrology, and IT, Mhairi-Ellen has a proven track record in the successful development and implementation of various business and human resource platforms.
